Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia is an academic journal published by Ikatan Dosen Alumni Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indoensia at the State Islamic University of Mataram, which is affiliated with Lembaga Pendidikan Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama Nusa Tenggara Barat. Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia focuses on Islamic and religious issues in Indonesia.

Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia accepts a variety of articles from academics (researchers, lecturers, and students) through a peer-review process using the Double-Blind method available in the open journal system (OJS). Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia provides an open access system with the aim of making published research available for free to the public.

Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia is also open to academics nationwide with the aim of enriching research and literature. Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia is freely accessible to the public, the commitment to provide high-quality articles and align with current academic writing styles is a top priority. Therefore, Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoensia primarily accepts articles in Indonesian and optionally accepts articles in English.

Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoneisa aims to promote scientific publication on Islam and Muslim culture in its broadest sense covering textual, historical and empirical aspects, both classical/medieval, modern and contemporary periods in the Islamic World and beyond. This journal encompasses original research articles based on library and/or empirical research in the field of Islamic studies especially on, but not limited to, eight main topics :

  1. Qur’an and hadith
  2. Islamic Law
  3. Islamic Theology (Kalam)
  4. Islamic Philosophy
  5. Islamic Mysticism (Tasawwuf)
  6. Islamic Education
  7. Islamic Communication and Propogation (Dakwa)
  8. Islamic Politics
  9. Islamic Economic and Finance.

It encourages articles that employ a multi-disciplinary approach to those topics. Scholars from any countries and region that are concerned with Islam and its manifestation throughout Muslim history and geography in the Islamic World and beyond can submit their article to Shelter: Penelitian dan Pengembangan Islam Indoneisa and use this open access journal.
